Essence: Sea Witch | The Little Mermaid Essence Gains: As the Sea Witch, Naomi gains a number of traits.
First, but most importantly to the Sea Witch, the ability to grant wishes for a price. Since these wishes could alter the fate of the wisher, the price can be steep and unfortunately, Naomi will not be able to reject a wish should the heart truly desire it.
Second, potion crafting. The Sea Witch does not use traditional magic in the sense of instantly casting her spells, but creates potions which then must be consumed or used within specific guidelines. Because of this, Naomi has an innate understanding of materials - be they fauna or flora - and what they will result in. However, to limit this ability, when crafting a potion for a wish, the success is guaranteed. Normal potion crafting for things like healing or empowering (even poisoning) require her to figure out ratios and perfect them in her own time. Also, she cannot craft potions on land in the beginning and must be within a body of water.
Third, Divination. The Sea Witch seems aware to everything to an extent; at least, when someone may come to make a deal with her. In the moments where someone does seek her for a wish, she'll know. Otherwise, her divination is more an awareness of things that could happen or may be nearby. In the watery domain, this ability is stronger and can be used to keep her safe from harm.
Finally, shapeshifting. Though this ability will just allow her to turn from human into a mermaid/sea witch form, it's intended to be strengthened later so she can turn into other creatures or someone else completely.
