Essence: The Little Mermaid | The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson Essence Gains: His most notable gain is his merman’s tail. While submerged in water, everything from the waist down becomes that of a dolphin’s, with cool grey skin and small dorsal fin. He has this tail for as long as he is submerged or in contact with water; if he becomes completely dry, his tail reverts into human legs. He can be out of water for a total of three days before every step causes excruciating pain, and he loses his voice. He will need to spend some time in the water recovering if he gets to this point. In addition to this, he can breathe underwater and his singing voice is suffused with magic, and with practice he can learn enchantments and other magic spells that can be cast by singing.
Appearance-wise, Roxas will be gaining webbed ears and sharper teeth, which is evident both in human form and in merman form. A quirk he will gain from coming here will be that he will find himself humming or singing to himself more often.
Questions: I put in the time limit on how long he can stay out of the water, so he has a reason to do long travel and isn’t too restricted, while giving him a reason to remain in the water. Does the time limit seem reasonable, or too long/too little? Thanks, and if there are any other concerns, just let me know!
