Registration—
§ invites vs. public registration.
As this game was initially a private, invite only game, we still continue with the invitation system and allow current players to invite their friends to join at any time. However, we also want to allow others outside our circle to have fun with us, so we've opened up the game to the public.
Public registration is only open for certain periods and there is a 20 slot limit with a 1 character per player and 4 character per canon cap. These restrictions can be lifted depending on how much traffic we actually get, but this is the default safeguard. Public registration will only be open after a campaign has been completed.
It should be noted that none of these restrictions apply to current players and those with invitations. Both groups can register at any time and do not have to worry about the character canon cap during registration cycles. Thus it's possible to have 5 characters in a canon enter if 4 are from public and 1 from an invite. Just keep in mind there is an overall cast cap of 10 and claims will have preference.
Current players, there is a character limit of 4 per player. While anyone can bring in 2 characters at the start, you must have been active in the game and participated in some way in a campaign for two months for the third, and then another two months for the fourth. Please contact us so that we can check to see if you satisfy the requirements.
§ step one: what to do.
Whether you have an invite code or part of the public registration round, you need to do the following first to make sure you understand the game's rules and setting:
To get an invite, simply ask any of the players you know already in game. Current players will follow set directions, receive the code, and then give it to you. Take a screenshot of the exchange and continue on to Step 2! If you do not know anyone in game, then you will have to wait for the public registrations to open.
§ step one: fill the form.
Once you've done all of the above, fill out the following form and comment to this entry. The mods will respond to give the "A-OK" or request any changes. One comment per character.
Player: Name
Age:
Contact: Primary means of contact
Current Characters: For current players only
[Invite only:]
Referral: Player in game who referred you
Invite Code: Link of code screenshot
Character: Character you plan on bringing in
Canon: Canon and canon point

Essence: Storybook character you will be claiming
Essence Gains: Give a brief description of the finalized version of what kinds of abilities the character will be gaining or inheriting from their essence. It doesn't have to be exhaustive and you can always add more once in game, but at least give us an idea of what we should expect. REMEMBER: characters lose all of their canon abilities and weapons upon entering.
Quirk: OPTIONAL! If your character is gaining a personality quirk based off the Essence, list it here! Remember they can only have one quirk.
Questions: Any questions you might have
§ step three: await mod confirmation.
More likely than not you'll be confirmed. If you are, congratulations! Follow the directions in the comment and have fun. You should receive notice within 24 hours. If you do not receive any reply after 48 hours, PM the mod journal!
Registration OPEN to Invitations and Current Players.
Public Registration is CLOSED until further notice!

§ step one: what to do.
Whether you have an invite code or part of the public registration round, you need to do the following first to make sure you understand the game's rules and setting:
- Read the Rules, Game Info, and World Info;
- Check the Character Roster and Essence List to make sure nothing is taken;
- Participate in the current Workshop and Test Drive as they serve as our "application" form (note: toplevels alone or tagouts are satisfactory);
- Make a Claim when it opens to ensure a public registration slot;
- Have an invite code if you're going that route.
To get an invite, simply ask any of the players you know already in game. Current players will follow set directions, receive the code, and then give it to you. Character: Varian
Canon: Tangled: the Series | post-Great Expotations, pre-Queen for a Day
Age: 14
Character Bio:
Varian is intelligent and extroverted, and highly gifted in the field of alchemy as well as general mechanics in a form that is very advanced for his time period. He's eager, in everything he does, but particularly when it comes to doing things that he hopes make his father proud. He's very insecure about whether or not his father takes pride in him.
Still, even with these insecurities, Varian can be cocky. He makes unsafe assumptions while working on his inventions. This is also in part due to his eagerness, once again, to prove that he's good at what he does. For all Varian's cleverness and willingness to socialize, he tends to overlook basic things in both his inventions and his social interactions.
Socially, Varian sometimes gets too excited. He gets excited about things in general, very much so, but the socially he comes on very strong and can get too caught up the potential for science and/or a new friend to rein in his exuberance. The mistakes and miscalculations he makes in his hurry to execute his inventions and help Old Corona village, are also at times made in his haste to make a good impression.
He's a gentle boy (at this point in canon); one of Varian's early inventions involved humanely getting rid of the animal pests in Old Corona. He's very curious about the world around him and loves to learn. And while Varian may come on too strong with his infatuation with Cassandra, he is never disrespectful of her beyond calling her a nickname she'd prefer he not use. He can recognize the boundaries she needs, showing that despite being a bit socially awkward, he's got some notable emotional intelligence for a fourteen year old.
Varian is a kid who's always trying his best, and usually putting that effort in to impress someone, be it his dad, who he thinks sees him as a screw-up, or friends like Eugene or Cassandra, who he wants to view him as more than a "kid".
Essence: The Master Cat | Charles Perrault's The Master Cat (also known as Puss in Boots, in both cases)
Essence Gains:
- Cat Tail: Most immediately notable will be the fluffy, cream-colored feline tail Varian will be arriving with.
I mean... He already wears boots.- Chasing Rodents: Varian will find himself oddly distracted by small rodents and similar animals, like rabbits, to the point where he feels a need to chase them that will be very difficult - sometimes impossible - to shake.
- Claws: He will also, if permissible, arrive with a single set of clawed brass knuckles, in reference to The Master Cat's great skill with catching mice in his claws, and his successful threat of "My good fellows, if you do not tell the king that all this grain belongs to the Marquis of Carabas, you shall be chopped up like mincemeat."
