Registration—

§ invites vs. public registration.

As this game was initially a private, invite only game, we still continue with the invitation system and allow current players to invite their friends to join at any time. However, we also want to allow others outside our circle to have fun with us, so we've opened up the game to the public.

Public registration is only open for certain periods and there is a 20 slot limit with a 1 character per player and 4 character per canon cap. These restrictions can be lifted depending on how much traffic we actually get, but this is the default safeguard. Public registration will only be open after a campaign has been completed.

It should be noted that none of these restrictions apply to current players and those with invitations. Both groups can register at any time and do not have to worry about the character canon cap during registration cycles. Thus it's possible to have 5 characters in a canon enter if 4 are from public and 1 from an invite. Just keep in mind there is an overall cast cap of 10 and claims will have preference.

Current players, there is a character limit of 4 per player. While anyone can bring in 2 characters at the start, you must have been active in the game and participated in some way in a campaign for two months for the third, and then another two months for the fourth. Please contact us so that we can check to see if you satisfy the requirements.



§ step one: what to do.

Whether you have an invite code or part of the public registration round, you need to do the following first to make sure you understand the game's rules and setting:

  1. Read the Rules, Game Info, and World Info;
  2. Check the Character Roster and Essence List to make sure nothing is taken;
  3. Participate in the current Workshop and Test Drive as they serve as our "application" form (note: toplevels alone or tagouts are satisfactory);
  4. Make a Claim when it opens to ensure a public registration slot;
  5. Have an invite code if you're going that route.

To get an invite, simply ask any of the players you know already in game. Current players will follow set directions, receive the code, and then give it to you. Take a screenshot of the exchange and continue on to Step 2! If you do not know anyone in game, then you will have to wait for the public registrations to open.

Essence: Reynard | Reynard the Fox
Essence Gains: Fox Form: In his basic, person form, he will have additional fox ears and a fox tail (and claws and sharp teeth, but he normally has those anyway). He will also have the ability to transform into a fox completely. Due to his nature as a trickster figure, he will be able to hide his fox ears and tail when in his normal form, but it will take him practice and concentration to do so. Also, Lotor's fox nature makes him exceptionally quick, elusive, and stealthy. He can hear low-frequency sounds very well and has heightened hunting instincts.

Trickster Tales: In fox form (and only in fox form), Lotor can create confusion regarding his physical location/size, so that it can seem like he's disappeared or has grown much larger, although it's actually only a matter of perception. In any form, he can create a state of confusion in other people, which makes them question their own decisions and slows their reflexes—this is mostly for use against NPCs, unless player characters wanted to plot something involving it.

Tyrant Breaker: Lotor receives an extra boost in physical and mental faculties when facing off against larger/more powerful opponents, especially authority figures—the boost includes increased speed, endurance, and enhanced senses.

Wolfsbane: Much like his vulpine counterpart, Lotor is a natural rival of wolves, and he feels compelled to antagonize them.

Essence Gains: His music (whether playing an instrument, singing, or both) will have the ability to charm anyone/anything that hears it. While he can be selective with how much his music will charm people (ie, whether they're completely under the power of his music, or whether they can listen to it without being influenced), he won't have the same control over non-sentient beings (so animals and trees will be swayed by his music, no matter what he does). His music will also have a bit of influence over people's emotions (happy songs will leave people feeling happy, sad songs will leave people feeling sad, etc).

Essence: Fairy Godmother | Cinderella
Essence Gains: Transformation - With a wave of her hands/wand/quill, Korwa will be able to transform objects into different things. Pumpkins into carriages, mice in horses and all that, but only with plenty of practice will she be able to get larger transformations down properly. There is a very real chance her magic might go horribly wrong.

Clothing Magic - Basically her canon powers up to eleven. Her magic will be able to provide buffs for people whenever she alters their clothing, magically or otherwise. She will also be able to create whole outfits out of the blue all while singing the magic words to make it happen. If she's in a pinch, Korwa can conjure magic threads to strike enemies at a distance or bind them in place.

Time Limit - The big draw back to her ridiculous magic is once midnight rolls around it all comes undone. Clothing turns to rags, items back to their original form and so on. With practice her magic might just diminish rather than fading entirely, with Korwa needing to perform touch-ups to her enchantments/creations

Essence: The Gray Wolf | The Firebird and the Gray Wolf
Essence Gains: Eustace will be inheriting a lot of the wolf's abilities and traits. Since he already has dog-like ears, his physical gain will be a tail that starts out dark and ends in a nice silver floof (similar to his ears and hair).

For transformations, he can not only turn into large, silver gray wolf, but he can also transform to take on the form of other people and animals. This ability I would limit to figures he's personally seen before, and how well he transforms and for how long will depend both on how well he knows them and his own skill. It will definitely start small and only last for a short period of time until he can get more control and use out of it. He'll have better luck with partial transformations, such as changing his hands and feet to claws and teeth to fangs. When in full transformation his stats will have a considerable boost, but he won't as much when doing partial. Still stronger than his normal form, but not as strong as going all out.

He'll have some slight advanced hearing, sight, and sense of smell to match those of a wolf, and when transformed as the Gray Wolf he is capable of carrying others on his back and running quickly. He won't be able to run as fast as the original character, but at least faster than a horse. To compensate, his endurance is something he'll need to work with, only able to go small distances in short bursts at first before being able to go for longer distances.

Some major drawbacks he'll have are needing a new wardrobe after transformations, and turning into a wolf puppy when he's exhausted all his strength or used it too much. On the wardrobe, that can be an easy fix if he can acquire magical clothes that transforms with him, and once he gets more experience with transforming that can be an natural ability for him as well. To be nice, he'll start with a cloak of that nature so he won't be completely out of luck. As for turning into a puppy, the effect only last from a few hours to the next morning, depending on how much he's used. This effect can be reduced as he gets stronger, but it's also to serve as a limiter. He'll be very weak and vulnerable in this state, as well.

Finally, he won't have his weapons with him, so he'll have to get some new ones. His quirk will be a very strong need to hunt down horses when he sees them so... That'll be interesting.

As per the Curse, from Swan Lake, her abilities will getting stronger, as she creates new bonds, with others. The more positive emotional connections she has, the greater her powers. Eventually, she may be able to de-manifest the wings, should she become powerful enough.

Her powers as a cipher and Watcher will be lost. These will create a challenge for her getting to know people, as she was able to quite literally read people's souls. Not standing around in a trance, while conversing with the dead, may actually be a benefit. (Edér and Aloth always make fun of her. Says she drools.)

Essence: Sea Witch | The Little Mermaid
Essence Gains: As the Sea Witch, Naomi gains a number of traits.

First, but most importantly to the Sea Witch, the ability to grant wishes for a price. Since these wishes could alter the fate of the wisher, the price can be steep and unfortunately, Naomi will not be able to reject a wish should the heart truly desire it.

Second, potion crafting. The Sea Witch does not use traditional magic in the sense of instantly casting her spells, but creates potions which then must be consumed or used within specific guidelines. Because of this, Naomi has an innate understanding of materials - be they fauna or flora - and what they will result in. However, to limit this ability, when crafting a potion for a wish, the success is guaranteed. Normal potion crafting for things like healing or empowering (even poisoning) require her to figure out ratios and perfect them in her own time. Also, she cannot craft potions on land in the beginning and must be within a body of water.

Third, Divination. The Sea Witch seems aware to everything to an extent; at least, when someone may come to make a deal with her. In the moments where someone does seek her for a wish, she'll know. Otherwise, her divination is more an awareness of things that could happen or may be nearby. In the watery domain, this ability is stronger and can be used to keep her safe from harm.

Finally, shapeshifting. Though this ability will just allow her to turn from human into a mermaid/sea witch form, it's intended to be strengthened later so she can turn into other creatures or someone else completely.

Abilities: Shadow clones (As suggested in the workshop) and since they already know how to use a glaive, maybe the ability to summon and use weapons? (Summoning it was an old power. Would start with a sword as first summon ability, since it is a classic.)

Quirks: I was thinking an issue with peas that is an aversion when they are Nadeshiko and a desire to smash them as Nagihiko. (Swapped to the peas since they're already fairly competitive. So basically the quirk is disliking peas, but how each personality handles them differed.)

I think summoning a sword instead of a glaive will confuse Nadeshiko the first time, and it will take work to learn how to move with one. Summoning any weapon at all will confuse Nagihiko. He... will probably stick with blunt weapons and ranged weapons, where Nadeshiko will focus on bladed weapons and polearms.

Of course They are going to be devastated by the unhatched eggs, but that was where he was in canon so having them hatch through regains will feel more like natural progression. And since the blue egg has NOT hatched as of canon point, ever, who that becomes, and who Nagihiko wants to be to give birth to that chara can actually shift in game, which could be a lot of fun!

Essence Gains:
Taletelling: By telling stories or fables, or quoting passages of creative works, Elma can aid her allies, impair her enemies, conjure illusions, or even inflict direct attacks depending on the nature of the tale. The effect grows more powerful the longer she can continue the recitation, so quick quotes are simple and reasonably effective, but longer works build slowly towards more dramatic results.

1001 Mode: A specific branch of tale-telling, Elma can self-buff by telling an ongoing tale or series of nested tales. (This is an analogue to her canon Overdrive ability.) As she continues to tell the story, though, she slowly begins to take on her true appearance.

That Reminds Me...: Elma will tend to launch into stories out of nowhere and with minimal provocation. She has a terrible time finishing them as well.

Essence Gains:
Transformation into a swan: In the beginning, Rudy will only be able to manage partial transformations or a full transformation for a limited time. He'll also have to learn to fly on his own.
Feather knives: He'll be able to shoot feather knives at enemies, with the number and distance increasing over time. It could also develop into him using feathers as if they were knives.
Affinity for water: Rudy's ability to swim and manoeuver in water will greatly increase. Being in full swan form will increase it further. Water magic would have to wait a while, as he is very much not magically inclined.
Wing shield: He will be able to protect others with a giant wing!

The lovely birds...: His quirk will be a fear of or feelings of nervousness about beautiful people! So he doesn't end up being terrified of basically everyone, I'm restricting this to characters who are canonically described as beautiful or people he personally thinks are beautiful.

Rudy will be losing his ARM and his ability to use them, which is going to be a bit of a blow as he's been able to use them for as long as he can remember. It might even be a bit traumatizing, as the last time his ARM stopped working was not a fun time. However, he won't know anything is wrong until he actually gets it back.

Questions: Will I ever stop leaving things to the last minute? Nope

Essence Gains:

Abilities: As Victor Frankenstein has experimented on himself in other versions of the story/spin-offs, a few of 21's canonical abilities will remain under the premise of them being the result of self-experimentation. These include super strength (powerful enough to knock over a large tree at maximum), regeneration from physical harm (slow, and cannot save her from mortal blows), and the ability to change to her transformed state (this'll be a cosmetic change). Abilities gained will include general knowledge of human anatomy, the ability to bring small animals back from the dead to work for her (limited to just a few that she'll be obsessed with improving on), and mild electrokinesis (enough to let her charge items with electricity).

Quirks: She'll have some fascination with bringing things back from the dead, along with difficulty admitting fault when she's done something wrong. If she is interrupted while working or deep in thought, there is a risk of her nastier side coming out, which would make her double-down on these quirks in addition to her acting like a jerk until she snaps out of it.

Essence Gains: In terms of Personality, Dojima will find himself sometimes acting a little more… stately, carrying the stature of a King. This will annoy him a lot.

Knowledge Wise: Dojima gains the ability to wield western broadswords with immense ease and skill, the ability to ride and care for horses. Royal manners/etiquette could be given to him, but he'd mostly ignore it to the best of his ability.

Power Wise: Dojima will gain the legendary sword Excalibur. At the start, the sword will only be able to glow with power (like a glowstick!), but over time he’ll gain access to it’s more magical abilities, including energy attacks (A la Fate/stay and/or Fate/GO).


He will also be able to summon phantasmal representations of the Knights of the Round Table to aid in fighting. At first, he’ll only be able to summon one Knight, but eventually he’ll be able to summon the full Table as he gains more powers/upgrades.

Essence: Big Bad Wolf | Red Riding Hood
Essence Gains: As the Wolf from RRH, she could actually fully transform into a slightly larger than average wolf (and unfortunately shred her clothing in the process, though will be able to learn to magically keep them from ripping). She'd have some heightened senses such as hearing, smell and sight. Also strength, speed and agility. None of these would be to the extreme but more of a slight boost than average people. She will be able to morph her left hand to look something like a werewolf's arm - claws included. Though she will have black wolf ears and tail all of the time - Velvet will have to get creative in hiding them. Malevolence wise, Velvet will just exude an air of negative feelings to those who might be sensitive to it. For weapons, she'll have her hidden boot blade but will have to reaquire her gauntlet one. Most of her artes are physical with hints of elemental, though I'll be nixing the elemental parts.

Questions: She isn't the sort of girl to huff and puff your house down.

Essence: Little Red Riding Hood | Little Red Riding Hood
Essence Gains: Red cloak that has camouflage abilities (not full invisibility). Basket that generates baked goods on command, currently just for food. As Keith "levels up", cloak will slowly provide other benefits, such as keeping Keith's temperature in a comfortable range no matter the weather, being water proof, and acting a protective shield against ranged attacks. Basket will gain properties over time including producing food with healing qualities and other special features (like granting speed or strength or poisoning enemies). Keith will eventually gain a knife with the ability to transform into a sword (unless he regains his own from home first) and the ability to transform into a wolf.

Questions: I would like Keith to be able to arrive with Kosmo, his cosmic wolf pet from canon.

Essence: The Boy | The Boy of the Red Twilight Sky
Essence Gains:
Marksman/Swordsman: All of Sora's shots from his dual gunblades will automatically lock onto a target and shoot them with beams of light energy - therefore negating the need for ammo. It will eventually be able to hit multiple targets at the same time, shooting several beams at one time (think Shooting Star's Form Change ability in KH3). He'll be able to combined them both to fire off one single large blast capable of knocking over a big enemy but only once. When Sora needs to get up close and personal, he can transform his guns into blades and dual wield them much like he did two Keyblades in KH2.

Light/Magic: There will a constant golden halo of light that shines on him. All of his normal magic spells will be represented by a color now. Dark blue for water, red for fire, white for healing, etc. They'll be upgraded or he'll collect "new" magic along the way - basically his canon magic.

Transformation: Sora is capable of turning into birds. Currently he can only turn into a black-bellied plover, a bluejay and a robin. It takes serious concentration to be able to do this and to stay in this form. Not to mention practice flying as an actual bird. (eventual; capable of turning into other various birds.
note; birds of color to match magic spells)

Storm/Sea: He'll start out being able to keep a ship upright no matter how fierce the storm. (eventual; able to calm the sea but only during the day)

Wings: (eventual; Sora will be able to create bird wings without fully transforming into a bird. These wings will be large enough to lift him off the ground and with strengthening practice, lift another person as well.)

Quirk: Basically when the sun is out, Sora will be awake. It won't matter if it's cloudy/rainy/a solar eclipse or if the setting prevents him from being to see the sun. (ex. underwater, underground) Then when the sun goes down, he will fall asleep regardless of where he is. (eventual: he will be able to remain awake at night but Sora will be pretty darn drowsy and unable to do much.)

Essence: Atalanta | Greek Myth
Essence Gains:
Rosella has no power of her own, so she'll just be gaining! She does have a lot of physical and academic skills, but those aren't powers.

1. Legendary speed. No man was capable of out running Atalanta, unless they cheated to slow her down. (I don't think this will be The Flash levels of speed, more like Captain America's "on your left")

2. Archery. Fun fact, Rosella is also an archer, but Atalanta was an accomplished archer, of Hero proportions. This will come with being able to make near impossible shots, at great distance, under duress, or whole otherwise distracted or hindered. This will come with a bow and quiver of arrows.

3. Animal Empathy. Atalanta was raised by a bear, and became a renowned hunter. And later, she gets turned into a lion. Rosella will gain an innate understanding of animal emotions/motivations, that will allow her to better communicate with them.

4. Animal Transformation. Atalanta was eventually turned into a lion, and Rosella will gain the ability to do this. It will be a power she'll have to grow into, and perhaps she can learn to take on other shapes, such as bear and boar, as she masters this.

Quirk

Ooh Shiny. Rosella will become easily distracted by shiny, beautiful objects. Up to the point where she will break off nearly anything she's doing to go touch and/or collect whatever has caught her attention.

Essence: Hua Mulan | the Ballad of Mulan
Essence Gains: In terms of new abilities, Pidge’s essence grants her a decent amount of knowledge and skill in horseback riding, moderate (theoretical, at least) knowledge of swords and other assorted Chinese weaponry. Future additions could include things like knowledge of kung fu, the ability to transform into a rabbit (rather than just being stuck with rabbit ears) and/or the ability to summon a cloud of magnolia petals (either for defensive or offensive purposes).

She’s already pretty ride-or-die for the people she considers friends or family, so her quirk will obviously be that she’s even more overprotective of her loved ones.

Additionally, she’ll be arriving with a jian with a magnolia theme (rather than her bayard and paladin armor).

Essence: Captain Ahab | Moby Dick
Essence Gains: Scrooge, while already adept at being on the sea, is going to have all of that sharpened to a razor's edge. He'll be able to summon a harpoon right off the bat, which will graduate to a harpoon gun down the line. Additionally, he'll be able to summon a 19th century whaling ship that can sail the air as effectively as the water. It'll be small and underpowered at first, but with enough time, will become a full sized, fully armed whaler. Finally, he'll eventually be able to manipulate the weather, especially over water. At first this'll only start with clouds and small bursts of rain or wind, but will eventually graduate to precision lightning strikes and then fully controllable storms.

As for quirks, his obsession with his money (and with his Number One Dime) will grow to extreme levels, hardly willing to part with it- ANY of it -for a second. The Dime will become a totem of sorts for him, and if anyone dares cross him about it? Well. Hope they have quick reflexes.

Isa will gain a magical/enchanted Japanese mortal and pestle (Usu and kine) that can be used to make various healing elixirs (and high quality mochi). The pestle/hammer can also be used as a weapon.

Isa will be fireproof, and have the ability to conjure (blue-white) fire.

Isa will be able to transform into a rabbit, fully at night, partially during the day. He will also have heightened senses, especially hearing and smell, even when not transformed

Essence: Athon-Rajah | The Fish Prince
Essence Gains:

Percy will gain the ability to breathe underwater. He can transform into a little fish, or a merman when in the water. He can also if particularly weakened, transform into a tiny seahorse. I figure to go along with this it would make sense for him to be able to communicate with the marine life as well.

The weapon he will have in the game will be a slingshot, which he won't be the best at initially because he is more used to using a sword. (He will miss Riptide...best trusty sword pen that always returned to him.)

His scales from being a fish/merman can protect against some attacks to help defend himself from them being like a sort of built in light armor for him. Water can heal him, and he can transform back to a human once out of it.

Questions: Given the fish/merman thing, unsure if I could say he has a natural affinity for the water in being able to control it to some degree like he can in canon. Maybe not quite to the same extent because demigods/gods and their powers, I would understand it not necessarily being that strong.
